Fair financial assistance to self employed & freelancers amid Covid-19 crisis

Petition Details

As it stands the self employed, freelancers and contractors are only able to get statuatory sick pay, approx £377 a month if they have no work during the covid 19 crisis. As the backbone of many british industries and services they should have rights to further help and support during these times.

Additional Information

HMRC have access to everyones tax returns. The payment should be fair and reasonable, could be worked on the last personal tax returns and set at 80% with £2500 cap. Fair treatment for all UK citizens.
