Petition Action

Extend State Benefits to Immigrants with limited Work Permit during Covid-19

Petition Details

The government should provide all immigrants with NO RECOURSE TO PUBLIC FUND some basic income help with access to the public fund during the Covid-19 Epidemic. Many of these people work in the healthcare sector and they cannot afford to not go to work looking after the sick even when they are sick.

Additional Information

The government should allow basic income allowance claims where due diligence shows that claimants were in work or is working (means test). Many families are left out of care because of their limitation to state benefits. Those with 2.5 years Right to Remain and Work Permits should be considered temporarily during this period to reduce the rate of poverty and crimes.
