A National Living Wage For ALL Workers During the Corona Virus
Currently, the UK Government is taking radical steps to help those affected by the Corona Virus. However, there isn't any real help for the Self Employed and those small businesses who don't fit the criteria for grants and income support.
A National Living Wage for all those working and paying taxes. We are all going to be affected with a loss of earnings, hours, jobs, business and financial security. The government needs to help the many, not just the few. A living wage for all would bolster financial confidence and help to keep the UK economy going. Businesses would be able to continue to operate and the self-employed would be able to keep their jobs. When the dust settles the UK will be well-poised to recover quickly.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We understand that you want the Government to change the financial support it is offering to workers, but it's not clear exactly what action you would like the Government to take.
We have published a petition calling on the Government to implement Universal Basic Income to give home & food security through Covid-19, which you might like to sign: petition.parliament.uk/petitions/302284
