Self employed to get the 80% wage that has been promised for PAYE employees
The government response to support PAYE employees with 80% of wages up to £2500 every month is very good.
However, there are millions of self employed people in the UK who now have their work greatly reduced, still have overheads related to their work and no way of paying them or supporting family.
To make the same 80% earnings commitment that has been made to PAYE employees.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Since this petition was started, the Government has said that most self-employed people can claim a taxable grant worth 80% of their trading profits up to a maximum of £2,500 per month for the next 3 months.
