Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme for self employed pay upto £2.5k not £94pw SSP.

Petition Details

Allow the self employed to have access to Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme and to pay them up to £2.5k per month to cover wages effected, identical to what is offered to the employed community.

Additional Information

At the moment the self employed are only entitled to statutory sick pay at £94 per week, while employers under the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme can apply for grants to pay there employees 80% wages up to £2500, per employee, per month. We the self employed have bills too and we also need support during these hard times!
