Mocks should't have a great impact in r GCSE & A level students grades

Petition Details

The cancelling of exams in all learning years in particular as left thousand of students in particular those in year 11 and year 13 worried as their previous mocks will be used to award their final grade in each of their subjects.

Additional Information

From my research 78% of students clarified that "they put all their best in their mocks as they are wanting to put all their efforts in the final exam".Students take things for granted unless its something that is going to benefit them .Also, students were not aware of such a thing coming and if they did they would have all taken their mocks much more seriously. In conclusion , students tend to get 1-3 grades more than their mock .

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

Decisions about exams are a matter for exam boards and individual schools, not the UK Government or Parliament. You can read the decision made by exam boards on what will happen to exams here:

If you want the Government to review the decision to use previous data to calculate exam grades, you may wish to sign this petition:

As a result of the large numbers of petitions people have tried to start on this issue, and following a large number of questions it received from petitioners about exams, the Petitions Committee asked the Government about the impact of coronavirus on schools and exams.
