Petition Action

Stop all relocation to rural second homes to isolate during COVID19 outbreak.

Petition Details

Impose travel bans to prevent second home owners relocating to their second homes in rural areas during the COVID19 outbreak. Require that those that have already relocated return to their usual place of residence immediately.

Additional Information

People from urban areas relocating to second homes in rural areas during the COVID19 outbreak will impose an additional burden on the often limited healthcare facilities in these areas and also increases the likelihood of infection of the local people. Many of these second home owners are from older demographic groups and therefore at greater risk of this virus so imposing an even greater burden on local healthcare facilities.
