Create a voluntary NHS reserve force.
Create a NHS reserve force that can be called upon in case of emergencies and to assist the NHS in applicable roles. This will operate just like retained firefighter or armed force reservists.
Reserve service provide a great development opportunity.
The training, skills and experiences gained in the reserves can be used to improve performance in the workplace and can enhance skills in areas such as leadership, team work, communication and decision making often in challenging situations and environments.
This will provide the NHS with additional human resources that it requires.
This is especially important in the events of national health emergencies.
