Safeguard recovering wildlife now: create a positive Coronavirus Legacy
Globally Covid-19 lockdowns have had unexpected benefits for emerging and recovering wildlife. The UK Gov must act now to create new situation-relevant and proactive safeguarding measures and laws specific to ensuring a return to business as usual mitigates damage to habitats, marine and wildlife.
We, the undersigned, request the UK Gov act now to baseline, create action plans and implement new laws and safeguarding measures to protect areas where nature is recovering or has potential to thrive in future due to a decline in human activity. Balance human, industrial and economic recovery with natural recovery, re-wilding and replenishing. We ask the UK Government to include recovering species protection in its forward-planning to create a positive, world-leading green Coronavirus legacy.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Petitions need to call on the Government or Parliament to take a specific action.
We're not sure exactly what you'd like the Government or Parliament to do.
You could start a new petition explaining clearly what you would like the Government or Parliament to do.
