Equality in economic aid for the self-employed during the Coronavirus period
I would like the government to provide economic aid to self-employed who are operating as individuals or sole traders in industries that have been affected by the fallout of the Coronavirus, similar to that offered to those who are not considered "key workers" who are directly employed.
During the current Coronavirus crisis, relief and other assistance has been offered to those who are directly employed, however, no support has been offered to people who are self employed who may or may not be eligible for Universal Credit. These individuals may struggle to make ends meet with bills and other expenses whilst they are unable to work, either through lack of work or through social distancing and self-isolation.
