Self Employed - Pay 80% of earnings up to £2,500 based on their 2019 tax return.
To treat the Self Employed on the same parity as the employed individuals. They pay NI and tax the same as employed and provide a valuable service to their local communities. They need protecting too.
We are five million strong and have been a key part of the UK economy over the last few years. They deserve the same level of protection as employed people while these restrictions are in place.

Since this petition was started, the Government has said that most self-employed people can claim a taxable grant worth 80% of their trading profits up to a maximum of £2,500 per month for the next 3 months.
