Offer Hazard Pay for all “Key Workers” during the Coronavirus outbreak.
Hazard pay is a form of extra compensation given to employees for performing dangerous duties. Therefore due to the current risks posed from being a “Key Worker” I feel it’s necessary to compensate this duty and merit a 10% temporary pay rise.
The current risks “Key Workers” are against within the current climate put not just only individuals at risk but the rest of their families. They are going above and beyond and putting their health on the line, consequently I feel a temporary 10% pay rise is warranted as a sign of appreciation from not only the employers and the Government but also the whole British Public.
