Close non-essential retail shops to limit the spread of COVID-19
Order a close to all non-essential retail shops and businesses to encourage public to stay indoors and limit the spread of COVID-19
Whilst bars, pubs, restaurants and other entertainment venues have been ordered to close, non-essential retail is being overlooked.
I work in one of these places and we are seeing a higher influx of customers through our doors than ever. It is clear people are not taking the advice of the government. More needs to be done.
Workers are unnecessarily at risk due to people shopping out of boredom. If ordered to close, this will help deter people from defying social distancing measures.
