Inaugurate a VE Day, Virus Eradicated Day, to honour all key workers.
Inevitably, the upcoming VE Day commemoration will have to be paused. Let us take the opportunity to raise our hats to NHS staff, emergency services, school staff, food supply staff and all others working in adverse times for the benefit of the nation.
The nation needs to honour the thousands putting others first and putting themselves at greater risk to keep the country moving forwards.
Many are low paid and undervalued by society. This is an opportunity to give them the respect long overdue.
