Petition Action

Launch a Public Inquiry into Dominic Cummings’ role in the COVID-19 response

Petition Details

To launch a public inquiry into the initial and ongoing Government response to the Coronavirus pandemic and assess the role of Special Advisers in developing policy.

Additional Information

A troubling report available in The Sunday Times (22/03/20) suggests Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s Special Adviser Dominic Cummings revealed the Goverments strategy at the end of February as “herd immunity, protect the economy and if that means some pensioners die, too bad”.

In a time of unprecedented public health crisis the Government response should be transparent and expert led, not guided by SpAds such as Cummings’ with little or no expertise in public health policy or epidemiology.
