UK Government treat the self employed the same as employed workers COVID19.
Self employed workers make up 15% of the workforce yet are being told to survive on universal credit when out of work whilst the employed workforce are being supported financially 80% of their wages up to £2,500 max a month. Use historical tax returns submitted. Treat everyone the same.
When the country is being asked to close its businesses and put people out of work, the UK government came to employed workers aid with a financial support package. However, the government is being prejudiced towards the self employed who are being segregated in a 2 tier workforce.
