This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

Since you started your petition the Government has published guidance for food businesses on coronavirus, including guidance on how to maintain social distancing in supermarkets: www.gov.uk/government/publications/covid-19-guidance-for-food-businesses/guidance-for-food-businesses-on-coronavirus-covid-19#maintaining-social-distancing-in-specific-food-business-settings

Implementing this guidance is a matter for individual supermarkets, and not the Government or Parliament, but many supermarkets have implemented measures in line with the Government's guidance. You should contact your local supermarket to see how they have implemented the Government's guidance on social distancing.
