Petition Action

Change the age to access a private pension back to 50 during COVID19 crisis.

Petition Details

Allowing those that have private pension funds to access them from age 50 would allow more to support themselves through this crisis, without putting a burden on the state. They would also be able to pay off some of their borrowing and lower their outgoings or support others where needed.

Additional Information

Simple step.....change the law to allow everyone to access their pension funds from age 50 as a temporary measure. Perhaps some sort of cap on amount of income that can be drawn but to allow some sort of income that is deemed appropriate.
