Stop passenger flights to and from the UK.
Passenger air travel continues across the globe in spite of advice to avoid travel from the Foreign and Commonwealth Office. Passenger air travel should be paused during this pandemic to minimise spread across our country and the world.
This continuation of passenger travel exposes airline workers to unnecessary risks and potentially continues the spread across the globe. Some flights are indeed cancelled but this results in some remaining flights becoming extremely busy. There is no chance for passengers or crew to practice social distancing. Certain airline crews are being forced onto unpaid leave if they are worried about exposing their loved ones to the virus or concerned about becoming ill while abroad. It’s time to stop.
