Announce a suitable financial support package for ALL self employed people!
The government have to help all types of workers. So far they have only outlined help for workers paid through PAYE. They have outlined no help for the self employed workers. It’s takes 5 weeks to get paid from UC. The chancellor and PM should ask themselves, can they survive on £94.25 a week?
Covid19 is impacting everyone financially, especially the self employed as they are only entitled to £94.25 P/W, in contrast to employees paid through the PAYE system as they will receive 80% of their wages up-to £2500 per month which will be funded by the government. Its only right the government helps all its workers including self employed and comes up with a suitable
financial package that will support ALL self employed people during this tough time. Can you survive on £94.25 a week?

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Since this petition was started, the Government has said that most self-employed people can claim a taxable grant worth 80% of their trading profits up to a maximum of £2,500 per month for the next 3 months.
