Fight the Covid-19 epidemics adopting a Hammer and Dance Suppression Strategy
Appeasement is the wrong choice in the war against the Covid-19 epidemics. We have to act quickly and aggressively to hammer the pathogen onto suppression. Then we have to deploy a Dance of measures to keep the virus at bay until a vaccine or a therapy arrives.
We shall never surrender.
To suppress the epidemics in many communities the lockdowns will not enough. We have to adopt the most tested and trialled strategy there is: hunting the infects and locking them away in lazarets. Infects needing clinical care will then be moved in Covid-19 only hospitals. This is necessary to break the community transmission and to bring down the contagion rate. A dance of measures (testing, tracing, travel bans, isolating and quarantining) will have then to be deployed until a therapy arrives.
