Adopt safeguards in relation to civil liberty restrictions due to Corvid 19

Petition Details

#Timescales set on all civil liberty restrictions
#Monthly review of all emergency powers by parliament

#General election called immediately post-crisis

Additional Information

It is recognised that the government must take extraordinary measures to fight Corvid 19. None of the requests above hinder the ability of the government to fight the virus in the short/medium term.

There is however a danger inherent in the open ended, large scale removal of civil liberties, such as restrictions on travel or election postponement. These measures provide oversight and ensure that civil liberty restrictions don't form part of the long term strategy for dealing with Corona Virus.
