Petition Action

Call Government to implement a total lockdown in the UK to tackle Covid 19

Petition Details

Call for the UK government to lockdown all industry and work places, except those which are key to fighting Covid 19 - eg. Supermarkets, hospitals, pharmacies, doctors and other key job roles.
Stop ALL travel except for commute to work, shopping or health care.
Close boarders into the UK.

Additional Information

The impact of Covid 19 on physical and mental health is massive, and more needs to be done to tackles the issue.
People are suffering as employers are having to lay off workers without getting pay, as those specific industries have not been ordered to close. Examples are those who work in trades (window fitters, plumbers etc).
More and more people will suffer financially, mentally and physically unless a full lockdown is ordered for the UK, similar to those we have seen in Italy and China.
