Provide Self Employed people with a fair deal like PAYE people
During the COVID-19 problem, provide Self Employed people with a fair deal similar to PAYE people by paying them 80% of their last years tax return divided by 12 to generate an equivalent monthly salary but also to a maximum value of £2500 like PAYE people.
This is needed to balance the unfairness of the deal the Government has provided under emergency legislation to PAYE people compared to Self Employed people.

Since this petition was started, the Government has said that most self-employed people can claim a taxable grant worth 80% of their trading profits up to a maximum of £2,500 per month for the next 3 months.
