That every household in the UK be given assistance with their utility bills.
With a significant proportion of the UK population self isolation at home our utility bills will escalate.
I propose that the Go'vt ease these additional expenses by discounting everyone's utility bills for the duration of this national emergency.
By the Gov't discounting everyone's utility bills to the extent of the same amount of units they consumed this time last year for the duration of this national emergency.
e.g. if your household consumed 100 units in this quarter 12 months ago then you get 100 units free in this current quarter, and then pro-rata on a weekly basis until this situation is declared over..... but the household will be responsible for any additional units used over and above the discounted amount.
