Postpone the Easter Bank Holidays until Coronavirus restrictions are lifted
Postpone the Bank Holidays on Friday 10 April and Monday 13 April until later in the year once the public restrictions around Coronavirus are lifted.
Since places of worship must now remain closed throughout the Easter weekend, there is no reason to have Bank Holidays on this weekend. Postponing them until later in the year, once Coronavirus restrictions are lifted, will benefit the economy (which will likely be needed at this time) and provide a welcome holiday to the public who will have sacrificed so much during the period when restrictions are in place.
