Include those registered self-employed within the new job retention scheme.
The self-employed should either be included in the government's job retention scheme or have a similar scheme set up.
In which 80% or more of average earnings are funded by the government up to the value of £2400+ per month.
As with the employed, those who are registered self-employed should not have to suffer a loss in earnings due to illness or mandatory isolation during the Coronavirus Crisis.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Since this petition was started, the Government has said that most self-employed people can claim a taxable grant worth 80% of their trading profits up to a maximum of £2,500 per month for the next 3 months.
