Cancel Summer 2020 university exams
Exams need to be cancelled or at minimum postponed until after quarantine/self-isolation/lockdown periods have been completed.
End of year grades should be calculated based on all previous coursework/assignments and exam grades for the current academic year.
All learning and exams have been moved online. Powerpoints, especially where recordings are not available, are not sufficient and learning/exam revision is almost impossible for those with children at home now schools have closed, or who have a no quiet place to study. Some students are at a major disadvantage to others through no fault of their own and grades/placement offers may be affected. Under these unprecedented and stressful circumstances, we should NOT be expected to continue as normal.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Decisions about university teaching, assessments and exams are a matter for individual universities, and decisions about university admissions are a matter for individual universities and UCAS, not the UK Government or Parliament.
If you have concerns about admissions you should raise these with UCAS, and if you have concerns about your university's arrangements for teaching and assessment you should raise these with your university or the Office for Students, which regulates the higher education sector.
We understand that the current situation is stressful for many people, including students. Student Minds, a mental health charity for students, is collating guidance and developing resources to support students experiencing stress as a result of the current situation, which you may find useful: www.studentminds.org.uk/coronavirus.html
