Petition Action

To provide frontline NHS staff eg. paramedics with better protective clothing.

Petition Details

Provide frontline staff with safer protective clothing. Covid19 is infectious; frontline staff e.g. paramedics are sent into homes of patients with suspected infections wearing a disposable mask, apron & gloves. This is NOT good enough! They put their lives at risk with every call that they make.

Additional Information

I was seen by a paramedic today. I was horrified that I had a better mask on than the paramedic. She was wearing a disposable mask, apron and gloves. There were two paramedics but one stayed outside to limit the spread of this infection. How is this acceptable? They are putting their lives at risk with every call they make. I cannot imagine the fear they must feel every day. The very least the government can do is provide more rigorous protective clothing for them. It’s not much to ask!
