University accommodation rent to be lowered or cancelled for the final term
University students shouldn’t have to pay the full amount of rent for the final term of their accomodation. Many students have to pay between £4000-£9000 of rent
I understand many of us students have signed contracts to stay in University accomodation, but there is a difference between being legal and ethical. International students were called back to their country. Students have lost their jobs, can’t get a flight back to the Uk, stay with a guardian or live at home. We shouldn’t have to pay the full amount of rent to say the least.
