Provide financial support to self employed private hire taxi drivers amid crisis
We would urge the government to consider not only small businesses that are self employed but also self employed private hire taxi drivers and the financial impact the current crisis is having on families supported by these workers. These are also key workers transporting NHS and other key workers
To support the public service we offer to key workers, who like us are still risking their lives daily to go to work and help in critical roles to ensure the country can continue to function, we urge you to avoid families supported by self employed taxi drivers from falling into poverty and financial ruin. It would appear that amongst the guidelines set these key workers are forgotten and livelihoods our at risk, please consider this in your bill and what support you can provide
