Grant Predicted Grades to BTEC Students as well as A-Level and GCSE Students
I would like the Government to put the same steps in place for students to get their predicted grades across all courses. Not just A-Level and GCSE, but BTEC also.
We still have a lot of assignment work to do out of college, with little support. A lot of assignment work is based on practical, in college assessment and work that we now won’t be able to carry out. This will have a negative effect on our grades overall as many BTEC students will have no basis for their assignments from which they will be graded on. Ultimately meaning that our grades at the end of this year will not be an accurate representation of our true academic ability.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Decisions about exams are a matter for exam boards and individual schools, not the UK Government or Parliament. You can read the Government's announcement about what will happen to exams here: www.gov.uk/government/news/further-details-on-exams-and-grades-announced
Ofqual has stated that it is working with awarding organisations to finalise a list of qualifications that we will advise the Secretary of State should be in scope for learners to receive a calculated result, and this will include many BTEC Nationals: www.gov.uk/government/news/awarding-vocational-and-technical-qualifications-this-summer
