Income tax exemptions for all key workers in the NHS for the next ten years.

Petition Details

Proposal to make all key workers, especially the NHS, Tax free for at least the next ten years along with a proportionate and fair pay rise.

Additional Information

Making the Key workers Tax exempt and offering a correct and moreover, fair pay rise would do wonders for the morale and the staff levels in the NHS. Never has it been more pertinent that we look after the people who look after us

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

We understand that you want the Government to financially reward key workers, but it's not clear whether your petition relates to the NHS, or all key workers, or if your petition is calling on the Government to fund pay increases for public sector key workers, or all key workers.

We have published a number of petitions calling on the Government to financially reward key workers, which you might like to sign:

Make hazard pay mandatory for key workers in the midst of COVID 19: petition.parliament.uk/petitions/307619

Give all key workers a 100% tax and Nat. Ins. holiday through COVID-19 crisis: petition.parliament.uk/petitions/306845

Pay bonus to all key workers: petition.parliament.uk/petitions/307215

Incentivise NHS staff during the COVID19 outbreak by making wages untaxable: petition.parliament.uk/petitions/304595

Increase pay for NHS healthcare workers and recognise their work: petition.parliament.uk/petitions/300073

Bonus for emergency services personnel working due to COVID-19: petition.parliament.uk/petitions/303306

If you want the Government to take an action not covered by the above, you could start a new petition stating clearly what you want the Government to do.
