Petition Action

Close none essential construction sites and compensate self employed

Petition Details

Shut down all none essential construction sites (those not involved directly with emergencies/ safety and/or Coronavirus efforts) and compensate self employed contractors (who will not be caught by furlough scheme) to reduce spread of Coronavirus and save lives.

Additional Information

Effective social distancing is not possible on most construction sites. Construction workers are being forced to attend work by employers and are being made to risk themselves, others on their job and their households. Put people before profit and support construction workers to save lives and prevent the spread of Coronavirus. Stay at home.
