Include vulnerable people’s partners in Coronavirus isolation measures.
The government should also include partners, and or other people living in the same household as a person that is classified as vulnerable during this isolation period of battling Coronavirus as there is nothing currently in place as many people are still having to go to work so they are putting
These groups of people at risk, so it is defeating the object of vulnerable people self isolating if partners or other people in that household are still having to work and coming back in and putting them at risk. For example partners of pregnant women/people with underlying health issues.
You can't sign this petition because it was rejected. But you can still comment on it here at Repetition.me!
The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
We understand that you want the Government to take action to protect people whose partners are vulnerable to coronavirus, but it's not clear exactly what you want the Government to do to achieve this.
Since you started your petition the Government has published guidance for households with grandparents, parents and children living together where someone is at increased risk or has symptoms of coronavirus (COVID-19) infection: www.gov.uk/government/publications/covid-19-stay-at-home-guidance/guidance-for-households-with-grandparents-parents-and-children-living-together-where-someone-is-at-increased-risk-or-has-symptoms-of-coronavirus-cov
The Government has also published guidance on shielding and protecting people who are clinically extremely vulnerable from COVID-19: www.gov.uk/government/publications/guidance-on-shielding-and-protecting-extremely-vulnerable-persons-from-covid-19/guidance-on-shielding-and-protecting-extremely-vulnerable-persons-from-covid-19
We have published a petition calling on the Government to provide 80% pay to all members of a household with a vulnerable person, which you might like to sign: petition.parliament.uk/petitions/309049
