Bring affordable essential fresh produce to all UK homes that are self isolating
For the UK Government to encourage and support all councils to work with their local retailers/markets/businesses to urgently set up temporary schemes for grouped local deliveries of fairly priced everyday essentials especially fresh products like fruit, vegetables, milk, bread, etc...
During the COVID-19 crisis,we need more solutions for delivering essential affordable goods to UK homes.The main supermarkets are overstretched whilst local shops and markets struggle to sell their fresh goods.It is neither practical nor economical to rely on small trade to provide a delivery service.Instead,this needs to be organised centrally by councils and high street managers for their local areas with Govt help, utilising vans and staff from industries who are temporarily unable to operate
