Petition Action

Tax relief for key workers in Covid-19, incl. NHS/care, supermarkets etc

Petition Details

Give key workers a tax break during the Covid-19 response to reflect the danger their continued efforts involves and the fact that they cannot work from home to protect themselves and their families. To include NHS & care staff, supermarket workers, delivery drivers, critical infrastructure staff.

Additional Information

Those designated by the government as key workers and those asked to continue going to work to perform vital services deserve financial recognition that they cannot take the same measures to protect themselves and their families as most of the population. A tax break of at least 3 months would help them feel valued in a material way that will provide proper assistance to their families.
