Employ ALL Black Cab Drivers to take NHS Staff safely to work.
Employ ALL Black Cab Drivers to take NHS Staff to work safely. Black Cabs are secure in the back, this will enable adequate Social Distancing. Two benefits here. 1 NHS Staff will be at minimum risk and Self Employed Black Cab Drivers can be paid to work instead of a subsidy to Self Employed earnings
The benefits will be huge! Keeping people in work and ensuring our NHS Staff get to where they need to be in a safe manner. This would be a "Win Win" and would take some pressure off when trying to resolve the "Self Employed" payments.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
The Government is not responsible for arranging transport to work for NHS staff.
We have published a petition calling on the Government to fund fund free Travel, Parking, Hotel & Childcare during COVID-19 for NHS staff, which you might like to sign: petition.parliament.uk/petitions/305854
You could start a new petition calling on the Government to reimburse NHS staff for all travel costs, including taxi fares.
