Petition Action

Force companies supplying non-essential goods and services to close during COVID

Petition Details

Companies that are not supplying essential goods and services are remaining open and requiring their staff to continue coming to work when they are not key workers.

They should be forced to close to the public and fines should be enforced on those that do not, as they are putting staff at risk.

Additional Information

Too many people are carrying on as normal during the coronavirus outbreak, taking public transport, working in offices with other people, placing themselves and others at risk.

Some people feel that they do not have a choice, particularly if their employer tells them that they have to go to work during this time when it is unsafe to do so. Such companies should be forced to close their offices to the public and staff if they are non-essential services and fined if they do not adhere to this.
