I would like you to cancel 2021 A level exams & asses us another appropriate way
I would like you to remove the idea of exams
& do assessments or coursework simply for the year 12s who have to teach themselves. I will not be able to be supported to the extent I need to be during this time to ensure that I have a deep understanding & developed knowledge.
I would like you to make this change as I think it is simply unfair that we are unable to access to quality teaching during this time & are expected to complete an exam when we have taught ourself half the curriculum & do not have the knowledge & understanding I need despite the teachers who are working tirelessly to try & provide the support for us. Not only this but these Zoom sessions we have to do are limited to 40 mins per meeting & I am not getting the full lesson time I am entitled to.

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Decisions about exams are a matter for exam boards and individual schools, not the UK Government or Parliament. You can read the decision made by exam boards on what will happen to exams here:
www.gov.uk/government/news/further-details-on-exams-and-grades-announced
If you want the Government to review the decision to use previous data to calculate exam grades, you may wish to sign this petition:

As a result of the large numbers of petitions people have tried to start on this issue, and following a large number of questions it received from petitioners about exams, the Petitions Committee asked the Government about the impact of coronavirus on schools and exams.
