Petition Action

Reintroduce 6 months adaptation courses for overseas nurses to work in UK.

Petition Details

As we have shortages of Registered nurses in UK, it will be a quick way to train nurses from abroad and give the possibility to get their pin number to work as staff nurse in this country.
The Nursing and midwifery council of UK takes too long and costs too much in processing nursing registration.

This petition was rejected

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

The requirements for overseas medical staff to work in the UK are a matter for the professional bodies for those workers, and not the Government or House of Commons.
