Petition Action

Government to order shut down of all non-essential construction sites in UK

Petition Details

In order to reduce the use of public transport resulting in over crowding that prevents the Governments social distancing policy to reduce Coronavirus infections

Additional Information

There is a mismatch between the Government policy for social distancing and allowing people to sit immediately adjacent to each other on public transport to get to work. The government wants to keep construction people working, however, the health and life of people should take priority over the economy. Construction sites are generally unhygienic and dangerous places where serious accidents occur that place additional demands on our already under strain NHS
