Petition Action

To stop non-essential construction work & close down sites due to COVID-19

Petition Details

To shut down non-essential construction work and lockdown construction sites to protect the health of workers and the spread of the virus during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Additional Information

To announce a lockdown for all non-essential construction sites, to protect the health of workers, to stop the spread of the virus and to protect them from contracting the virus.

Although work is often outdoors, constuction sites are busy/crowded and it is not practicle for workers to social distance as required. Therefore people are having to risk their health attending work as they cant afford to stay home with no pay. Many of these workers will have vulnerable members in their households.
