Make insurance companies liable to pay out on policies affected by COVID-19
Currently insurance companies are not paying out on policies and are hiding behind small print such as force majure etc. due to the COVID-19 pandemic. All insurance companies including business, travel and others should be held liable for at least a percentage of any claims made by policy holders.
If the Government were to force all insurance companies to pay at least a set percentage of claims, this would go some way to reimbursing businesses and individuals, alleviating some of the pressure they face and may also reduce the amount the government need to spend themselves in order to help with the financial burden on millions of us.

The decision to pay out under a policy is one for individual insurance companies, not the UK Government or Parliament.
If you are unhappy with the decision of your insurer you should complain directly to them.
