Petition Action

Visa extension for students graduating in 2020 to compensate for the COVID-19.

Petition Details

We would like to request the government to extend the stay of international students graduating in 2020 to compensate for the lost opportunities caused by the pandemic. This will allow a fair chance of completing their curriculum as originally intended, and give them the time needed to find a job.

Additional Information

The coronavirus outbreak has caused significant global panic, with many people facing uncertainty in their job searches. International students are no exception. Those international students who are graduating in 2020 are not eligible to apply for the Post-study work visa. Therefore, those students who are completing their degree-level course this year at qualifying institutions will only have 3 to 4 months to seek work under these devastating economical impact caused by COVID-19.
