The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:

The payment of insurance policies is a matter for individual insurance providers and holders, not the Government or Parliament.

A number of insurers have put in place specific arrangements due to the coronavirus outbreak. You should contact your insurer to see if they have made any arrangements you can take advantage of. The Association of British Insurers has created a coronavirus information hub, which you might find helpful: www.abi.org.uk/products-and-issues/topics-and-issues/coronavirus-hub/

We have published a number of petitions calling on the Government to provide financial support to individuals who have been affected by coronavirus, which you might like to sign.
