100% tax and NI relief for those working in essential retail settings.
We call on the government to consider 100% relief in PAYE and NI payments for all those who are continuing to provide essential services during the Covid-19 outbreak.
these workers include those working for retail outlets such as supermarkets and pharmacies, receptionists in surgeries and all front line NHS staff and emergency personnel (police, fire and rescue services).
Some of these workers are not being provided with PPE equipment and yet turn-up for work everyday to keep the country functioning whilst the rest of us protect ourselves and the national effort to support the NHS by staying at home.
This commitment to supporting the continuation of vital services and supplies should be recognised and will also enable them to be appreciated for the work they are doing.
Furthermore many of these are having to fund alternative ways of getting to work and purchasing their own PPE equipment whilst putting themselves at risk.
