promise of tough sentencing for anyone caught with a stolen NHS badge
removal of benefits and a minimum of community service to any person found/reported to have stolen an identity badge from NHS staff members
in this time where our NHS is more important and needed than ever, it is sickening that the brave people helping to contain this epidemic should fear or come to harm from the public. we the understated demand a promise of severe retribution for any persons proven to have harmed one of our heroes

The Government e-Petitions Team gave the following reason:
Theft and fraud are already crimes. Charging and prosecution for these crimes are a matter for the police and Crown Prosecution Service respectively, while sentencing is a matter for the judiciary, not the Government or Parliament.
