UK participation in the joint EU procurement program for ventilators
The Government has not taken part in the EU’s joint procurement schemes to buy ventilators, despite EU say they can.
The EU President declared that a joint effort on behalf of 25 member states has resulted in procurement of different scale of equipment at short notice.
We ask the Government to participate in the EUs procurement of ventilators to avoid that member of the public die of coronavirus while waiting for the much-needed ventilators.
Working proactively and in cooperation with other EU countries would save lives, while at the same time UK can still aid and support the production of ventilators from local vendors. This is not about re-fighting Brexit but saving lives!
