Petition Action

Give NHS and emergency service frontline workers a pay rise not just praise

Petition Details

Raise starting salaries of NHS and emergency frontline workers to the same amount as the cash grant maximum amount being given to employees and self-employed workers (£2500 per month, £30,000 per annum)

Additional Information

In times of crisis our front line NHS and emergency service workers again and again demonstrate their professionalism, heroism and dedication. We as a nation need to ask why we are paying these workers less than the government is prepared to pay to furloughed employees and self employed workers.

Paramedics starting wage - £24,025
Nurse starting wage - £22,128
Police officer starting wage £23,123

Proposal: Raise all starting salaries to £30,000 with corresponding increases up the pay scales
